Try the steering wheel trick first
Before you call anyone, try this. It clears a good share of the stuck-key calls we get around Jacksonville, and it costs nothing.
1. Grab the steering wheel and rock it left and right. You're looking for a little play, not muscle.
2. While the wheel is under light pressure, gently turn the key. If the wheel lock was binding the ignition, the key turns and you're done.
3. Still stuck? Rock the wheel the other direction while you turn.
The steering column locks itself when the wheel gets bumped after you park. Curbs and tight Town Center parking spots do it all the time. The car isn't broken. It's just pinched.
Don't force it, and never glue a snapped key
A key that won't turn is telling you something. Forcing it can snap the blade off inside the cylinder, which turns a quick visit into a longer one.
If the key already snapped, leave the broken piece alone. No super glue. Glue almost never bonds hard enough to pull the blade out, but it's great at sealing the cylinder shut for good.

Is it the key or the cylinder?
Quick test: try your spare. If the spare turns smoothly, your daily key is worn down, and a fresh cut solves it cheap.
If every key sticks, suspect the cylinder. On high-mileage cars the warning signs are hard to miss. The key needs a jiggle before it turns, or it only works in one exact spot. Some keys slide right out while the engine is still running. Those are worn wafers, and they get worse, never better.
