What to do right now

Take a breath. This gets fixed at your car, today, and no tow truck is involved.

1. Skip the tow. For most models a dealer isn't required, and towing just adds a bill on top of a bad morning.

2. Pin down your exact location. Driveway, office garage, the shoulder of I-295, a Town Center parking lot — we drive to the car, so the address is the first thing we'll ask for.

3. Dig up your ID and proof of ownership (registration or title). You'll need both before any key gets cut.

4. Call or text (904) 902-4771 with your year, make, model, and where you're stuck. We'll confirm the full price on the phone before anyone drives out.

What happens when the locksmith arrives

First thing, we check your ID against the registration or title. That's a feature, not a hassle. It's how we make sure nobody can order up a key to a car they don't own.

Then we pull the key data for your VIN, cut a fresh key, and program the car to accept it. Transponder keys, flip keys, smart fobs, push-to-start — most makes and models sold in the US are covered right at the curb.

The whole operation runs out of the van. We've been fully mobile for the last four years, so a driveway key job is a normal Tuesday for us.

One honest caveat. A handful of the very newest, tightest-locked models can only be keyed by a dealer. If yours is one of them, we'll say so on the phone instead of burning your afternoon.

Why it costs more than a spare

All-keys-lost work starts at $195. A spare starts at $150 because we're copying a key that already exists.

With no key at all, we're building one from scratch. That means generating the cut from your VIN and teaching a car that currently trusts nothing to accept a brand-new key. More work, more equipment time.

How long this takes

In most of Jacksonville that means a locksmith at your car within the hour, give or take. Traffic on I-95 or a run out past the beaches can stretch that, so we'll give you an honest window when you call.

Start to finish, the work happens at your car. We're open daily, 8 AM to 8 PM.
